| 課程大綱 | Osteoporosis is characterized by low bone mass, microarchitectural disruption, and skeletal fragility, resulting in decreased bone strength and an increased risk of fracture. Osteoporosis is more common in women, especially postmenopausal women, and osteoporotic fractures can be costly and result in disability or death. While both non pharmacologic therapies and pharmacologic therapies are essential for management of osteoporosis, and there are several possible candidates with different mechanisms if pharmacologic therapies are considered, bisphosphonates are still the suggested first-line therapy for most postmenopausal women with osteoporosis. The indications, contraindications, efficacies and adverse effects of bisphosphonates for postmenopausal osteoporosis will be discussed. |
